Fairport Asset Management announced today the appointment of Jonathon McAwley as advisory member of its Investment Committee.
McAwley currently serves as PPG Industries’ Director, Benefits Investment and Financing with responsibility for the investment activity of the U.S. DB and DC plans and oversight of international plans in Canada, the U.K., and the Netherlands with assets totaling over $7 billion.
McAwley joined PPG in 1982 as part of the Internal Auditing Department. He held management positions in numerous departments including Biomedical Systems, Corporate Treasury and Chemicals. McAwley joined the Coatings operation in 1998 and became the Director, Financial Reporting responsible for consolidating the monthly financial results for the $5 billion coatings operations around the world. McAwley graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a minor in Economics.
“I am really looking forward to having Jonathon join the committee. Mullen, Fairport’s Chief Investment Strategist. “I believe his perspective will be an excellent addition to the investment committee.”
